Again, I must ask: even if McCain wins – does he lose? Their “traveling lynch mob”(as one writer put it) this past week has taken American politics in the modern day to a new low. If he wins, he will face incredible resentment from the other side — so will there be any notable accomplishments? It’s also shown us just how many truly creepy people there are in America. I personally think a McCain/Palin victory will be viewed by history as the beginning of a secessionist movement in this country, as the red and the blue journey toward one gigantic, inevitable split. But that’s just me talking, of course.
