Here in this town I live in, Rochester, NY, there is this fun, sort of fake race they do every year called The George Bailey Run. Everyone who signs up and plunks down $10 gets to run down busy streets in the downtown area re-enacting the famous scene in It’s a Wonderful Life where George Bailey is running through the snow wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. Proceeds go to charity. I signed up this year. I asked the organizers on their Facebook page if we might run by The Blue Choice building downtown. I hear Mr. Potter will be there raising average folks premiums for the new year and I’d like to wish him a Merry Christmas.
(knock knock) “Hey Merry Christmas, Mr. Potter”
“And a Merry Christmas to you – in the Country Infirmary. Ha Ha Ha Ha – ah, the Holiday Season, a glorious time of the year to incur insult and injury upon the common rabble.”
